Statement of Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Justice
At Brenda Baird, MCC, I believe coaching should reflect the dignity, humanity, and uniqueness of every person. I am committed to creating a coaching and learning environment in which people feel respected, welcomed, included, and valued for who they are and for the perspectives and experiences they bring.
My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful coaching requires openness, respect, and a willingness to understand people within the context of their lives, identities, communities, and experiences. I recognize that individuals and groups may face inequities, barriers, and systemic challenges that shape how they experience leadership, work, learning, and opportunity.
I believe diversity strengthens learning, conversation, and growth. Inclusion means more than being invited in. It means being heard, respected, and able to participate fully. Belonging means people can engage without needing to diminish or set aside important parts of who they are. Justice means recognizing that fairness is not always achieved by treating every person the same, but by practicing with awareness, responsibility, and respect for the realities that affect people differently.
In my coaching, teaching, and professional relationships, I strive to foster an environment marked by respect, fairness, curiosity, and care. I am committed to ongoing reflection and learning so that I can continue to grow in awareness, recognize blind spots, and serve others with greater wisdom, humility, and integrity.
I welcome the unique talents, insights, identities, and lived experiences each person brings. My intention is to practice in a way that supports equitable access, honors difference, and contributes to a coaching profession that is thoughtful, inclusive, and responsive to the world we live in.
